When should I complete my Membership Pass registration? As soon as possible. When a staff member enters an athlete, coach or volunteer into a tournament, they must input the unique ID code for each participant. This requires that all athletes, coaches and volunteers complete their membership pass registration (or someone does this for them) in advance of any event entries.

How long do the membership passes last? Passes are valid for the whole academic year in which they were registered, from the 1st of October to the following 30th of September inclusive.

If I register for a Basic Pass can I upgrade it to an Athlete Pass later? Yes, simply log-in to manage your account and you can select the option to upgrade anytime.

Can I edit my details once I have registered without having to send emails my team captain etc.,? Yes, simply log-in to your account and edit your details directly.

How do I enter a tournament? Only university sport department staff members and club captains authorised by a staff member are able to submit tournament entries on behalf of their team members. If you see the message ”no tickets available” when trying to enter a team this means you are not yet flagged as a department staff member or club captain. Please see the University Staff portal for more information.

How do I enter a training event? If the event is an individual training camp / fightcamp, S&C course, corner judges course, or an AGM or other individual event, you can complete you own registration and pay online via the event registration portal. If the event appears on the website’s main calendar, but is not yet listed the event registration portal then registration is not open yet for that event, please check back later.

I have just registered, why can’t I see my ID code when I log-in? Registrations must be approved by a manager before an ID code is generated and so ID codes will take some time to populate (typically 24 hours) after registering your details. Please ensure that all of your student and alumni athletes, coaches and volunteers are all registered well in advance of event entry to ensure their BSTF ID codes have been confirmed.

I’m a university sports department staff member or club captain, can I get a list of my team’s ID codes? Yes, university staff members and club captains only can review their team’s registered members and ID codes anytime, simply log-in to your account and select the Members tab. Please contact us to to request staff / captain account authorisation for an existing account.

Is it possible for our team to purchase Athlete Passes for several of our athletes at once? Yes, if all of the individuals have already registered for the Basic Pass (free), simply email us to request to simultaneously upgrade as many accounts as you need, specifying which accounts to upgrade. A single group invoice will be generated and linked to your designated staff member’s account. Once this has been paid by BACS or card payment via the University Staff portal the accounts will be upgraded.

I have more questions! Please contact us and we’ll be happy to answer them* 🙂

*If it’s about the meaning of life, the answer is taekwondo

All student athletes, guest athletes, coaches, corner judges and other volunteers who want to take part in BSTF events must first register their details for a Membership Pass.

Club presidents/ captains should create an account and be sure to select “Yes” under the Club Captain section, as you will need to be flagged as a captain and authorised by your sports department/ students’ union (ask them to email us) to access tournament entry forms. If you are an individual athlete from an institution with no taekwondo club you should also mark yourself as the ‘captain’.

University sports department/ students’ union staff members may create a free account (please choose a Basic Pass and select “Yes” at the university staff member selection) in order to access your institution’s tournament entries and make payments. Registered accounts need to be activated by a manager, so there may be a delay between creating your account and gaining access to the access the University Staff section of the website.

There are two different types of Pass available, a (1) free Basic Pass and (2) paid Athlete Pass options.

A Basic Pass is completely free pass that provides you with an online account and allows you to register for all BSTF events at the standard rates. The Basic Pass is ideal for club coaches and volunteers.

An Athlete Pass is a paid pass that provides you with an online account and allows you to register for all BSTF events, and also gives huge discounts on tournament entry fees (30%-85% tiered discounts), training camps and courses (50% discounts), free corner judge and referee course entry (100% discounts), plus BSTF branded merchandise discounts. The Athlete Pass is ideal for student and alumni athletes entering 2 or more events per academic year.

Athlete Passes are available to alumni athletes and at a discounted rate for current students and are often the most cost effective option.

Once you have registered for a pass, entering training events or tournaments is a breeze!

  1. Tournament entries: Staff members must enter all of a team’s athletes, coaches and volunteers on the team entry form. To enter each person you simply input each pass holders’ unique BSTF ID code. Only activated staff accounts have access to invoice payments and to the tournament registration forms. Other accounts, such a team captain/ president’s account, can be granted access to submit team entry forms by request of the sport department/ students’ union via email.
  2. Training event entries: If you are entering an individual event like a training camp, S&C course or umpires course, you simply log-on, register and pay online! For Athlete Pass holders your discounts will be applied automatically.
