There are two particularly special additions to the newly expanded Spring Championships Finals competition:

  • Incredible competition training experience value, travel value and fee value, of our double elimination plus competition format (2 brackets per event, not 1, therefore delivering at least two matches for all competitors instead of 1)!
  • For the Spring Championships we can now offer discounted entry for BSTF members entering multiple disciplines, from 10 – 50% off!

Group payment

If your club has opted in to pay for entries by team group invoice then you will see the entry fee price as ‘£0’ on this form, as the combined fee total for your whole team are calculated and sent to your team captain/ institution administrator. Check with your club captain/ president how they want you to pay them for your entries.

If you are a brand new account holder, and your university uses the team group payment option, it may take a day or two for you to to see the option to register at ‘zero’ cost as we assign you to the group payment option. The entry pricelist can be found in the Membership Guide, Fees and FAQ page.

Double Elimination

This event is a double elimination tournament i.e., there are two brackets, upper and lower, for all divisions. In a single elimination event 50% of people entering sparring will have only 1 match; in double elimination elimination brackets every student-athlete taking part will have at least 2 matches/ 2 patterns performances!

We can offer entry into our double elimination tournament at a massively lower fee than you would pay for two separate single elimination competition entries. Even better, you only have to travel once, so travel costs are also halved for the same number of competition brackets in play.

Discounts

We can now offer discounted entry for athletes entering multiple disciplines (we do not have time to automate the discount before this event, so you must enter it manually in the “discount code” field).

Please enter — as text into the discount code field – the number of discipline entries you are submitting. For example, if you are entering: (i) Chang-Hon Individual patterns, and (ii) Kukkiwon Individual patterns and (iii) Kukkiwon Pairs patterns then type “three” into the discount code field box (with no spaces before or after, and no quotation marks).

  • two = 10% discount!
  • three = 20% discount!
  • four = 30% discount!
  • five = 40% discount!
  • six = 50% discount!
  • more than six = 50% discount!

This system is not yet fully automated on the webpage side, but does compute correctly on the database side. Please be careful not to enter the wrong number of disciplines in the discount text box, as the entry system will mark all of your entries as invalid if a larger discount percentage was applied compared with the actual number of discipline entries. Do not include trainee umpire,  coach or coach assistant roles in your count, only competition discipline entries.

If your club has activated Team Invoicing then all entry fee above will show ‘zero’ above and your team will later receive a single invoice for all team members’ entry fees (please contact your club captain to confirm how you will pay the club for your entries!). In that case, you do not need to input the discount code, as the discount will be calculated automatically on the team invoice. You would only see an error as you multiple ‘zero’.
